Empty ink cartridges can be refilled up to 10 times (1) using modern techniques. The procedure is to repeat the original production process. After a minimal modification to the empty cartridge, the printhead nozzle will be cleaned using a special solution in an ultrasound tub and then re-filled in vacuum conditions(2). In this manner the same chamber pressure as in the original can be achieved(2). |
